A Biblical View Of The Loss Of A Pet If you have lost a pet, may you find comfort through faith in God, knowing one day you can see your pet again. The Bible says a lot about the animal creation, portraying them as Earth’s second most important inhabitants. During the Millennial Reign of Christ, "The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat; and the calf and the young lion and the yearling together; and a little child shall lead them," Isaiah 11:6. After the Millennial, God says, "Behold, I create New Heavens and a New Earth," Isaiah 65:17, and then mankind and animals will live forever and enjoy a redeemed New Earth. "God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, or sorrow, or crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away," Revelation 21:4. God created the first human, Adam, in a position of responsibility over the world. Man was given the choice to choose sin or righteousness, the lesser animals were not given this choice. When Adam disobeyed God, he did so as the head of humanity and the world. This is why the consequences of sin, including death, came not just on Adam, but on his descendants and all the earth. It was human sin that caused God to place a curse on creation, subjecting all living things to eventual death. Christ’s death for us also purchased redemption for all the creation which was brought down by man’s sin. "What we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory He will reveal to us later. For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who His children really are. Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope, the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay. For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as His adopted children, including the new bodies He has promised us," Romans 8:18-23. These scriptures show that our redemption, will bring deliverance not only to us but also to the rest of creation. Clearly, on the New Earth, after mankind’s resurrection, animals who once lived and died on the old Earth will then join God’s children on the New Earth in glorious freedom from death. Without a doubt, the animals who lived or went through suffering with us here on this cursed earth, are the very same ones the Apostle Paul is speaking about, who are “waiting eagerly” for their deliverance, and they will be the very same animals who are redeemed on the New Earth when all creation is made new. Our Pets will be there and they will remember us! Be There With Your Pet, Make Sure Heaven Is Your Home Too! There are only two possible destinations when we die, Heaven or Hell. Most people believe they are going to Heaven, but unless our sin problem is solved, we can't enter Heaven. God does not evaluate our lives and actions by how good we are. He gave the Ten Commandments listed in Exodus 20:3-17 to expose our true inner-self, much like the way we use a mirror to expose our outer-self. Have you ever used God's name as a byword or curse word? That’s called blasphemy. God will hold anyone guilty who misuses His name, Exodus 20:7. “For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all,” James 2:10. We can never live up to God’s perfect standards. BUT, God has provided the way for us to receive Forgiveness, Salvation, and Eternal Life. "God so Loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have Eternal Life," John 3:16. "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved," Acts 4:12. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me,” John 14:6. Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. "Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near," Isaiah 55:6. For all Eternity you'll be glad you did. DEAR JESUS, I believe You came to earth and died on the cross for me, and Your blood was shed to cleanse me from all my sins, and You rose from the dead on the third day to give me Eternal Life. Please forgive me of all my sins. I place my trust in You as my Savior. Help me as I daily study Your Word. AMEN When this life ends... Life is short and ETERNITY is far too long not to be sure where you will spend it! Every second two people die... What if this is your second?
