America, "Babylon the Great"

Is America In Bible Prophecy?
Amos 3:7 “The Lord GOD will do nothing, without first

Revealing His plans unto His servants the Prophets.”

"Mystery Babylon" and the "Daughter of Babylon" are references to a Great Mystery "Church" and a Great latter day "Nation". Babylon is the second most mentioned Nation in the Bible, Jerusalem being the most mentioned.  "Mystery Babylon the Great" is one of the most debated subjects in eschatology.  It is a subject that has been written and spoken about extensively.

"THE CHURCH" -  Revelation 17:4-5,9 "The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand ... Upon her forehead was a name written,  Mystery, Babylon The Great  ... And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

"THE NATION" -  Revelation 18:4,7-10 "Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues ... How much she has glorified herself ... for she said in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire ... And the kings of the earth ... shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that  Great City Babylon,  that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come."

Zechariah 2:7 "Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the  Daughter of Babylon."

As an American we love our country, but as a Christian, we know that our Nation has greatly sinned against God.  America has no fear of God, and is rapidly becoming a pagan nation.  Judgment of America has been set by God and just like Israel in the days of Jeremiah our end is in sight.  The days of the Republic are coming to an end, the handwriting is clearly on the walls, and judgment is coming to America.

Franklin Graham, has a biblical warning for the United States, that Americans could share the fate of the Babylonian empire.  In a recent post on his Facebook page, he told the story of how the Babylonian king Belshazzar was shown the writing on the wall from God’s hand, telling him his reign was over because he did not honor God.  Graham concluded: “What’s the writing on the wall for America?  As a nation we are found lacking because of sin and disobedience to God’s Holy Word.  We have not honored Him. If we don’t turn back to God, I fear that our end will be near.”

Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, the author of “The Harbinger”, said, “Sin leads to judgment, this law touches not only individuals, but nations and civilizations. To whom much is given, much is required. A nation that has been especially favored with God’s blessings and the revelation of the Word is much more accountable concerning judgment. This applies to America. God is in charge of the timing, but as it is now, America is continuing decisively in its descent to judgment,” he concluded.

So what will be the role of the United States before the Second Coming? An uncooperative force? A destroyed world power? An Israeli ally?  Our purpose may yet be determined, making prayer and a continued examination of the Bible extremely important.

Could America be "Babylon the Great" spoken of in Revelation chapter 18?  An issue that arises again and again is, why would God remain silent about the greatest country that has ever existed and not mention this country in any of His end-times prophesies?

Clearly,  America and the United States are not identified by name.  However,  there is enormous evidence that the “hindermost nation”,  the “hammer of the whole earth”,  a country to which “all the nations stream” (discussed in
Jeremiah 50 & 51),  is the United States.

Jeremiah 50:12  says that Babylon is the hindermost of the nations.  The meaning of the word  "hindermost"  is  "last"  or  "latter".  The United States is the  "youngest" of the world's greatest nations.

There are numerous verses in the Bible which confirm that America is the "Daughter of Babylon" prophesied by  PsalmIsaiah,  Jeremiah,  Obadiah,  Zephaniah,  and Zechariah in the Old Testament.

In Revelation,  John’s  “Mystery Babylon” (which is a Great Religious "Church")  is in some respects a “compilation”  of all the beasts mentioned in Daniel.

Daniel wrote around 550 B.C. and God said no one would be able to understand these prophecies until the time of the end.  Daniel 12:9  "And He [God] said,  Go thy way, Daniel:  for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end."

In
 Daniel 7:3-8,  we read:
3 And four great beasts came up from the sea,  diverse one from another.

4 The first was like a lion  [Great Britain],  and had eagle’s wings  [America]:  I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked,  and it was lifted up from the earth,  and made to stand upon the feet as a man,  and a man’s heart was given to it.

The American Eagle can easily be associated with the British Lion because the United States of America was "plucked up from the British Empire" when the citizens of the thirteen American colonies declared their independence from King George III in 1776. In this Bible prophecy, the eagle’s wings represent the United States. In Daniel they are removed, and in Revelation they are not included at all.

5 And behold another beast,  a second,  like to a bear  [Russia]  and it raised up itself on one side,  and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it:  and they said thus unto it,  Arise, devour much flesh.

6 After this I beheld,  and lo another,  like a leopard  [Germany],  which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl;  the beast had also four heads;  and dominion was given to it.

7 After this I saw in the night visions,  and behold a fourth beast,  dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly;  and it had great iron teeth:  it devoured and brake in pieces,  and stamped the residue with the feet of it:  and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it;  and it had ten horns.

And then the Beast-Antichrist (the “little horn”) arises:
I considered the horns,  and,  behold,  there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots:  and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man,  and a mouth speaking great things.
This last great Kingdom is the Kingdom of the Antichrist.

Revelation 18:7-8

Tells about the destruction of Babylon/America because her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.

7 How much she has glorified herself, and lived deliciously . . . for she said in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

8 Therefore her plagues shall come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

Exactly when this will be, is a matter of much debate.  The essence of the Harlot and the Beast Kingdom are motivated by Satanic power.  The clues that the United States is Babylon the Nation is overwhelming – if one is willing to study the Bible and consider carefully what it says. God is so merciful, He has given His people warning after warning about the things that are going to happen in these end times.

Notice that anytime God is talking about the old Babylon, He refers to it as "he" or "him" because Nimrod was over the ancient Babylon, BUT . . . anytime God is referring to America as Babylon, it is always "her" or "she" because our Mother was England. We wanted to bring this to the readers attention as a help aid for when you are reading your own Bible. When you are reading about Babylon, it is often a  double  prophecy and will change from "he" to "she" or "him" to "her", throughout the text. You can always see this in the "King James Version", but some of the modern day books that pass themselves off as a Bible, do not show these changes.

Other Bible chapters and verses that refer to America as Babylon are given below. Read them prayerfully and let the Holy Spirit be your teacher.  Sadly, the United States of America  is  Babylon.

John 14:26: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in My name [Jesus], He shall teach you all things.

Psalm 137:8-9:

8 O daughter of Babylon, who is to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewards you as you have served us.

9 Happy shall he be, that takes and dashes your little ones against the stones.

These cruel demon filled people are also seen in:

Isaiah 13:16 & 18 "Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes. 18 They shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eyes shall not spare children."

Isaiah 13:1-22:

1 The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.

2 Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.

3 I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.

4 The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the Lord of hosts mustereth [summoning] the host of the battle.

5 They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the Lord, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.

6 Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt:

8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travails: they shall be amazed [horrified] one at another; their faces shall be as flames [ablaze with fear].

9 Behold, the day of the Lord comes, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and He shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.

13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of His fierce anger.

14 And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land
.

At this time, all the people from other nations will be fleeing from America as fast as they can!  The righteous, who are able, will also be physically fleeing Babylon in the future.  America has been a refuge for Israel and the outcasts of Israel but God will make it so uncomfortable that they will also flee to their homeland.

Notice how many times dozens of  passages specify a nation from which people will physically have to move out of before physical fire falls there. The Bible warns many times to flee from Babylon:

Revelation 18:4: Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins ...

Jeremiah 50:8: Remove [yourselves from] out of the midst of Babylon ...

Jeremiah 50:28: [Hear] The voice of them that flee and escape out of the land of Babylon ...
Jeremiah 51:6: Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul ...
Jeremiah 51:50: You that have escaped the sword, go away, stand not still ...

15 Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword.

16 Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.

Also seen in Verse 18 "They shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eyes shall not spare children."

17 Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.

18 Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eyes shall not spare children.

19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

20 It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.

21 But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.

22 And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.

Isaiah 14:4:

4 Take up this proverb against the king of Babylon [the President], and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!

Isaiah 18:1-7:

1 Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia:

America's skies are filled with the whisper of aircraft wings.

2 That sends ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, saying, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible [
strong and powerful] from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out  [measured out and populated throughout] and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!

America is a nation "peeled", or timbered, a land of open fields.  A Powerful Nation "…a people terrible from their beginning hitherto…" refers to a powerful and unconquered nation since its beginning.  Psalm 47:2  says,  "For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth".  Terrible does not mean bad or evil.  Terrible here refers to power and strength to be respected.

A Land Divided by Rivers "…whose land the rivers have spoiled!…" comes from baza' (baw-zaw') (Strong’s word 958) which is a primitive root;  probably to cleave - spoil. The rivers divide the country in verse 2 and in verse 7 also.  The Mississippi would be well described this way.  It physically divides America.  In the future it could be even a stronger division if the New Madrid fault acts up damaging all the bridges which connect this country.  It has also greatly blessed this country.  Poorer countries could say it has spoiled America with wealth.  The wealth of nations can also be their downfall.

3 All you inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.

4 For so the Lord said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.

5 For afore [before] the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches.

6 They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beasts of the earth: and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.

7 In that time shall the present be brought unto the Lord of hosts of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible [strong and powerful] from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out [measured out] and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the Lord of hosts, the mount Zion.

Isaiah 21:9:

Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground . . . that which I have heard of the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.

Isaiah 47:1-15:

1 Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for you shall no more be called tender and delicate.

2 Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers.

3 Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man.

4 As for our redeemer, the Lord of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel.

5 Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, the lady of kingdoms.

America considers herself to be the Queen among the Nations.

6 I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst show them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.

7 And you said, I shall be a lady for ever: so that you did not lay these things to thy heart, neither did remember the latter end of it.

Babylon is called a lady, and America has the symbol of the Lady with the Statue of Liberty.

8 Therefore hear now this, you that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that says in thine heart, I am, and [there is] none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:

9 But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments.

10 For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and you have said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me.

11 Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know.

12 Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast labored from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail.

13 Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee.

14 Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it.

15 Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast labored, even thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee.America considers herself to be the QUEEN AMONG THE NATIONS. (Isa 47:5,7; Rev 18:7).

Jeremiah 50:1-46
1 The word that the Lord spoke against Babylon and against the land of the Chaldeans by Jeremiah the prophet.

2 Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces.

3 For out of the north there cometh up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell therein: they shall remove, they shall depart, both man and beast.

4 In those days, and in that time, saith the Lord, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek the Lord their God.

5 They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the Lord in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten.

6 My people have been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their restingplace.

7 All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the Lord, the habitation of justice, even the Lord, the hope of their fathers.

8 Remove [yourselves from] out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he goats before the flocks.

9 For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain.

10 And Chaldea shall be a spoil: all that spoil her shall be satisfied, saith the Lord.

11 Because ye were glad, because ye rejoiced, O ye destroyers of mine heritage, because ye are grown fat as the heifer at grass, and bellow as bulls;

12 Your mother
(England is the Mother of America) shall be sore confounded; she [England] that bare you shall be ashamed: behold, the hindermost [last-youngest] of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.

America is the youngest and greatest of the end time nations.

13 Because of the wrath of the Lord it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goes by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss [shocked ] at all her plagues.

14 Put yourselves in array against Babylon round about: all ye that bend the bow, shoot at her, spare no arrows: for she hath sinned against the Lord.

15 Shout against her round about: she hath given her hand: her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the Lord: take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her.

16 Cut off the sower from Babylon, and him that handleth the sickle in the time of harvest: for fear of the oppressing sword they shall turn every one to his people, and they shall flee every one to his own land.

17 Israel is a scattered sheep; the lions have driven him away: first the king of Assyria hath devoured him; and last this Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath broken his bones.

18 Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria. (Nimrod & Old Babylon)

19 And I will bring Israel again to his habitation, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon mount Ephraim and Gilead.

20 In those days, and in that time, saith the Lord, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve.

21 Go up against the land of Merathaim, even against it, and against the inhabitants of Pekod: waste and utterly destroy after them, saith the Lord, and do according to all that I have commanded thee.

22 A sound of battle is in the land, and of great destruction.

23 How is the hammer of the whole earth cut asunder and broken! how is Babylon become a desolation among the nations!

God has used America as the Hammer of the whole Earth.

24 I have laid a snare for thee, and thou art also taken, O Babylon, and thou wast not aware: thou art found, and also caught, because thou hast striven against the Lord.

25 The Lord hath opened His armoury, and hath brought forth the weapons of His indignation: for this is the work of the Lord God of hosts in the land of the Chaldeans.

26 Come against her from the utmost border, open her storehouses: cast her up as heaps, and destroy her utterly: let nothing of her be left.

27 Slay all her bullocks; let them go down to the slaughter: woe unto them! for their day is come, the time of their visitation.

28 The voice of them that flee and escape out of the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of the Lord our God, the vengeance of his temple.

29 Call together the archers against Babylon: all ye that bend the bow, camp against it round about; let none thereof escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath done, do unto her: for she has been proud against the Lord, against the Holy One of Israel.

30 Therefore shall her young men fall in the streets, and all her men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the Lord.

31 Behold, I am against thee, O thou most proud, saith the Lord God of hosts: for thy day is come, the time that I will visit thee.

32 And the most proud shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all round about him.

33 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; The children of Israel and the children of Judah were oppressed together: and all that took them captives held them fast; they refused to let them go.

34 Their Redeemer is strong; the Lord of hosts is his name: he shall throughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.

35 A sword is upon the Chaldeans, saith the Lord, and upon the inhabitants of Babylon, and upon her princes, and upon her wise men.

36 A sword is upon the liars; and they shall dote: a sword is upon her mighty men; and they shall be dismayed.

37 A sword is upon their horses, and upon their chariots, and upon all the mingled people that are in the midst of her; and they shall become as women: a sword is upon her treasures; and they shall be robbed.

38 A drought is upon her waters; and they shall be dried up: for it is the land of graven images, and they are mad upon their idols.

39 Therefore the wild beasts of the desert with the wild beasts of the islands shall dwell there, and the owls shall dwell therein: and it shall be no more inhabited for ever; neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation.

40 As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the Lord; so shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein.

41 Behold, a people shall come from the north, and a great nation, and many kings shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.

42 They shall hold the bow and the lance: they are cruel, and will not shew mercy: their voice shall roar like the sea, and they shall ride upon horses, every one put in array, like a man to the battle, against thee, O daughter of Babylon.

43 The king of Babylon hath heard the report of them, and his hands waxed feeble: anguish took hold of him, and pangs as of a woman in travail.

44 Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan unto the habitation of the strong: but I will make them suddenly run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?

45 Therefore hear ye the counsel of the Lord, that he hath taken against Babylon; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitation desolate with them.

46 At the noise of the taking of Babylon the earth is moved, and the cry is heard among the nations.

Jeremiah 51:1-64

1 Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, and against them that dwell in the midst of them that rise up against me, a destroying wind;

2 And will send unto Babylon fanners, that shall fan her, and shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall be against her round about.

3 Against him that bendeth let the archer bend his bow, and against him that lifteth himself up in his brigandine: and spare ye not her young men; destroy ye utterly all her host.

4 Thus the slain shall fall in the land of the Chaldeans, and they that are thrust through in her streets.

5 For Israel hath not been forsaken, nor Judah of his God, of the Lord of hosts; though their land was filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel.

6 Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the Lord's vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence.

7 Babylon has been a golden cup in the Lord's hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.

8 Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed.

9 We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.

10 The Lord hath brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare in Zion the work of the Lord our God.

11 Make bright the arrows; gather the shields: the Lord hath raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes: for his device is against Babylon, to destroy it; because it is the vengeance of the Lord, the vengeance of his temple.

12 Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the Lord hath both devised and done that which he spake against the inhabitants of Babylon.

13 O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, and the measure of thy covetousness.

14 The Lord of hosts hath sworn by himself, saying, Surely I will fill thee with men, as with caterpillers; and they shall lift up a shout against thee.

15 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heaven by his understanding.

16 When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens; and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth: he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.

17 Every man is brutish by his knowledge; every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.

18 They are vanity, the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.

19 The portion of Jacob is not like them; for he is the former of all things: and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: the Lord of hosts is his name.

20 Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;

21 And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider;

22 With thee also will I break in pieces man and woman; and with thee will I break in pieces old and young; and with thee will I break in pieces the young man and the maid;

23 I will also break in pieces with thee the shepherd and his flock; and with thee will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and with thee will I break in pieces captains and rulers.

24 And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith the Lord.

25 Behold, I am against thee, O destroying mountain, saith the Lord, which destroyest all the earth: and I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down from the rocks, and will make thee a burnt mountain
.

26 And they shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations; but thou shalt be desolate for ever, saith the Lord.

27 Set ye up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashchenaz; appoint a captain against her; cause the horses to come up as the rough caterpillers.

28 Prepare against her the nations with the kings of the Medes, the captains thereof, and all the rulers thereof, and all the land of his dominion.

29 And the land shall tremble and sorrow: for every purpose of the Lord shall be performed against Babylon, to make the land of Babylon a desolation without an inhabitant.

30 The mighty men of Babylon have forborn to fight, they have remained in their holds: their might hath failed; they became as women: they have burned her dwelling places; her bars are broken.

31 One post shall run to meet another, and one messenger to meet another, to shew the king of Babylon that his city is taken at one end,

32 And that the passages are stopped, and the reeds they have burned with fire, and the men of war are affrighted.

33 For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; The daughter of Babylon is like a threshing floor, it is time to thresh her: yet a little while, and the time of her harvest shall come.

34 Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon hath devoured me, he hath crushed me, he hath made me an empty vessel, he hath swallowed me up like a dragon, he hath filled his belly with my delicates, he hath cast me out.

35 The violence done to me and to my flesh be upon Babylon, shall the inhabitant of Zion say; and my blood upon the inhabitants of Chaldea, shall Jerusalem say.

36 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will plead thy cause, and take vengeance for thee; and I will dry up her sea, and make her springs dry.

37 And Babylon shall become heaps, a dwelling place for dragons, an astonishment, and an hissing, without an inhabitant.

38 They shall roar together like lions: they shall yell as lions' whelps.

39 In their heat I will make their feasts, and I will make them drunken, that they may rejoice, and sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the Lord.

40 I will bring them down like lambs to the slaughter, like rams with he goats.

41 How is Sheshach taken! and how is the praise of the whole earth surprised! how is Babylon become an astonishment among the nations!

America considers herself to be the praise of the whole Earth.

42 The sea is come up upon Babylon: she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof.

43 Her cities are a desolation, a dry land, and a wilderness, a land wherein no man dwelleth, neither doth any son of man pass thereby.

44 And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he hath swallowed up: and the nations shall not flow together any more unto him: yea, the wall of Babylon shall fall.

45 My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce anger of the Lord.

46 And lest your heart faint, and ye fear for the rumour that shall be heard in the land; a rumour shall both come one year, and after that in another year shall come a rumour, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.

47 Therefore, behold, the days come, that I will do judgment upon the graven images of Babylon: and her whole land shall be confounded, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.

48 Then the heaven and the earth, and all that is therein, shall sing for Babylon: for the spoilers shall come unto her from the north, saith the Lord.

49 As Babylon hath caused the slain of Israel to fall, so at Babylon shall fall the slain of all the earth.

50 Ye that have escaped the sword, go away, stand not still: remember the Lord afar off, and let Jerusalem come into your mind.

51 We are confounded, because we have heard reproach: shame hath covered our faces: for strangers are come into the sanctuaries of the Lord's house.

52 Wherefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will do judgment upon her graven images: and through all her land the wounded shall groan.

53 Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall spoilers come unto her, saith the Lord.

54 A sound of a cry cometh from Babylon, and great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans:

55 Because the Lord hath spoiled Babylon, and destroyed out of her the great voice; when her waves do roar like great waters, a noise of their voice is uttered:

56 Because the spoiler is come upon her, even upon Babylon, and her mighty men are taken, every one of their bows is broken: for the Lord God of recompences shall surely requite.

57 And I will make drunk her princes, and her wise men, her captains, and her rulers, and her mighty men: and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the King, whose name is the Lord of hosts.

58 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly broken, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the people shall labour in vain, and the folk in the fire, and they shall be weary.

59 The word which Jeremiah the prophet commanded Seraiah the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, when he went with Zedekiah the king of Judah into Babylon in the fourth year of his reign. And this Seraiah was a quiet prince.

60 So Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come upon Babylon, even all these words that are written against Babylon.

61 And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, When thou comest to Babylon, and shalt see, and shalt read all these words;

62 Then shalt thou say, O Lord, thou hast spoken against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever.

63 And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates:

64 And thou shalt say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon her: and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.

Zephaniah 2:14-15:

14 And flocks shall lie down in the midst of her, all the beasts of the nations: both the cormorant and the bittern shall lodge in the upper lintels of it; their voice shall sing in the windows; desolation shall be in the thresholds; for he shall uncover the cedar work.

15 This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand.

Zephaniah 3:1-9:

1 Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressing city!

2 She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the Lord; she drew not near to her God.

3 Her princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves.

4 Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary.

Zechariah 2:7:

Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwells with the daughter of Babylon.

Revelation 14:8:

8 And there followed another [Second] Angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

(There are three Angels flying in the sky.  The first Angel is preaching the gospel, the second Angel is proclaiming that Babylon/America has fallen, the third Angel is warning people not to worship the beast/antichrist.)

Revelation 16:19:
(7th VIAL)

And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.

Revelation Chapter 17:1-18
1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will show unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sits upon many waters:

Verse 15 And he said unto me, The "waters" which you saw, where the whore sits, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

The picture of the woman as evil signifies spiritual adultery, portraying those who outwardly and religiously seem to be joined to the true God but who are untrue to this relationship.

3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

5 And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth.

6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the Saints, and with the blood of the Martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great [astonishment] admiration.

The woman is pictured not only as the source of all evil in apostate Christendom but also as one who has been engaged in the persecution of the true saints. Her wickedness in this regard is demonstrated by the description that she is drunken with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus.

7 And the Angel said unto me, Wherefore [why] did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carried her, which has the seven heads and ten horns.

8 The beast that you saw was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Revelation 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

Verse 8 can be compared to Revelation 13:3.  This might mean the apparent death of the Antichrist himself and the healing of the "wound" with his apparent resurrection.  People "wondered" reveals that they will be astounded when the Antichrist rises from the dead or simply appears to. His charisma, brilliance, and fascinating but deluding powers will cause the people in the world, who do not believe in God, to follow him unquestioningly.

9 And here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sits.

John notes that the wise “mind”, will make the proper identification. The Tribulation Saints will be able to sort these verses out more as they see prophecy being fulfilled all around them.

10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he comes, he must continue a short space.

11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goes into perdition [everlasting punishment].

12 And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast [Antichrist].

Daniel 7:24  "And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings."

Revelation 13:1  "And I stood upon the sand of the sea [people], and saw a beast [Antichrist] rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy."

13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast [The Antichrist].

14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with Him are Called, and Chosen, and Faithful.

Revelation 19:16 "He has on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, King Of kings, And Lord Of lords."
Matthew 22:14 "For many are Called, but few are Chosen.”

15And he said unto me, The waters which you saw, where the whore sits, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

16 And the ten horns which you saw upon the beast [Antichrist], these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

Verse 8 "Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judges her."

17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfill His will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast [Antichrist], until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

18 And the woman which you saw is that great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth.

Revelation 18:1-24

Chapter 18 is about the destruction of the commercial, political Babylon when it takes place at the end of the Great Tribulation.

Lament Over Fallen Babylon "America"
1 And after these things I saw another Angel come down from Heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

Also seen in:
Revelation 14:8  "And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen ..."

Jeremiah 50:15  "Her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down ..."
Jeremiah 51:8  "Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain ..."
Revelation 16:19  "And the great City [Jerusalem] was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath."

3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

Jeremiah 51:7  "Babylon [America] hath been a golden cup in the Lord's hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad."

Warning to Escape Babylon’s Judgment
4 And I heard another voice from Heaven, saying, Come out of her, My people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues.

Jeremiah 51:45  "My people, go you out of the midst of her, and deliver you every man his soul from the fierce anger of the Lord."

5 For her sins have reached unto Heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.

7 How much she has glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she said in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly  burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judges her.

Isaiah 47:8-9  “Therefore hear now this, you [America] that are given to pleasures, that dwells carelessly, that says in your heart, I am, and [there is] none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children: But these two things shall come to you in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood.”
Zephaniah 2:15  “This is the rejoicing city [America] that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation.”

Weep Over Babylon’s Fall
9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,

10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buys their merchandise any more:

12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,

13 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.

14 And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.

15 The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,

16 And saying, Alas, alas that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!

17 For
in one hour so great riches is come to nought [has been destroyed]. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,

America is a coastal nation filled with warm water seaports.
Jeremiah 51:13 "O thou that dwells upon many waters, abundant in treasures, your end is come, and the measure of your covetousness."

18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!

19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

20 Rejoice over her, thou Heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.

21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

Jeremiah 51:25 "Behold, I am against thee, O destroying mountain, says the Lord, which destroys all the earth: and I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down from the rocks, and will make thee a burnt mountain."
Jeremiah 51:42 "The sea is come up upon Babylon/America: she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof."

Jeremiah 51:63-64 "And it shall be, when you have made an end of reading this book, that you shall bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates: And you shall say, Thus shall Babylon/America sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon her: and they shall be weary."

22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;

23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

24 And in her was found the blood of  prophets, and of  saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

America has murdered millions of babies with abortions. Thousands of these babies would have been God’s Saints and prophets and they would have done mighty works for God during their lifetime. Our government has also paid for abortions for women around the world!
