Are you ready for eternity?

Ryan Liam Fite

A Cherished Memory

Ryan Fite was 19 years old. On December 4th, 2020 everything changed. He became a cherished memory which will never vanish. Instead of a light fading, he became a burning flare of light and warmth felt by all. Ryan’s reach stretched far beyond the walls of his home. Beyond his enormous circle of friends. Past the limits of love. He left an impression on countless people. He will never be forgotten by those who knew him, and they will never not feel the impact he left and still has on them.

Ryan was born in Wichita Falls, TX on August 14th, 2001. Before his first year, he and his father, James moved to Big Spring, TX to be closer to family. Later in life, his father would introduce him to Amanda, who he would eventually refer to as “my mom” to people. Ryan also met 3-year-old Alyssa who would latch onto him as his little sister. James and Amanda married, and a family of 4 was formed.

He attended Big Spring High where band was life. He played percussion and loved everything about it. He graduated in 2019, and even after high school, would go to any and everything where he could watch his successors in band play.

Ryan had several families besides James, Amanda, and Alyssa. He was welcomed in many of his friend’s homes, where he would take off to for sometimes days. No one worried because he was always with “family” no matter where he was.

Ryan had no problem saying, “I love you” and following through by showing that love. If he knew you, then you were genuinely cared about.

Everything about Ryan… his heart, his impact, his reach… is infinite. Because of that, Ryan will not be forgotten. Instead, he will be forever.

Survivors include his parents, James and Amanda Fite; his sister Alyssa Wellner; a brother Matthew Carrasco; grandparents Don and Ann Fite, Lisa Kennedy, Edward Carrasco; and many other loving family members and even more friends.
Ryan was preceded in death by his birth mother, Brianne Carrasco.
Ryan will lie in state Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 11AM to 9PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 2:00PM at Mt. Olive Cemetery.

2 Corinthians 5:8 "To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord." (We know that at death our spirit will leave our body and go to Heaven to be present with the Lord.)

2 Corinthians 5:1 "For we know that if our earthly house [our physical body] ... were dissolved [through death], we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." (We will have an eternal body.)

Ryan was the Drum Line Leader in Band during his Senior Year of High School.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-17  “I would not have you to be ignorant, ... concerning them which ... [have died], that you sorrow not, ... as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which ... [have died] in Jesus will God bring with Him.

15 ... We which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not ... [precede] them which ... [have died].

16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

August 14, 2001, Tuesday - December 4, 2020, Friday

On Friday morning, December 4, 2020, at approximately 9:13 AM, Ryan Liam Fite went to be with the Lord, due to a fatal crash that occurred north of Big Spring, Texas.

A 27-year-old man driving a Ford pickup failed to yield right-of-way at a stop sign on FM 846. This resulted in his vehicle colliding with a Silverado pickup, driven by a 37-year-old man and his passenger 19-year-old Ryan Fite, who were traveling on highway 1584 headed to their first job of the day.

The 37-year-old driver was airlifted to Lubbock with incapacitating injuries. Ryan Fite was pronounced dead on the scene. The 27-year-old man sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was transported to a Big Spring Medical Center.

At the time of the wreck Ryan's boss, who was in the accident with Ryan, saw (had a vision of) Jesus and Ryan standing in a beautiful white room, then he heard Jesus voice telling him it was not his time.

This is a beautiful picture of Jesus personally being there to welcome Ryan to Heaven.

I See Something

Written & Directed by James Fite

Starring Ryan Fite and Alyssa Wellner

After realizing they are all alone at home, a brother and sister try to determine if there is something outside the windows watching them. As the night proceeds, they find that fear is enhanced by the imagination.

1 Corinthians 15:51-53  "Behold, I ... [tell] you a mystery; We shall not all ... [die], but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead(shall be reunited with their bodies and) shall be raised incorruptible, and we [the living, also] shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality."

(What a marvelous promise for Christians, dead or living, to be changed instantly. In a moment, in the blink of an eye we will be changed from mortal bodies into beings with glorified bodies. This means a perfect, immortal body like Christ’s body, which can never be hurt, sick, or die again. Then we will be “caught up” into the air to be with the Lord for all Eternity!)

Philippians 3:20-21  “We look for … the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our ... [earthly] body that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious [resurrected] body.”

1 John 3:2
“Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He [Christ] shall appear,
we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.”

2 Corinthians 4:18
“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are ... [temporary]; but the things which are not seen are eternal [everlasting].”

Ryan was  extremely skillful with his Lightsaber.
